a couple of years ago, i made one of these for the p.b. kid and i've been wanting one for myself ever since.
i finally got over myself and made one.
it's a quick project and easily made.
i painted this frame with two different acrylic paint colors- sienna and turquoise.
then rubbed a lot of the paint off with a rag to make the paint uneven.
the flowers and letters are just stick ons.
the screen is stapled into the inside of the frame.

now i can actually find my earrings.
it's a miracle.

This is so cool! I need to make one, I'm missing a bunch of my earrings. That I can't wear, anyway, so I might as well use them as decorations. :)

I saw something like this in the premier issue of Sandra Lee's magazine..but I like yours better. Very cool.

Oh..I went to see Gran Torino today. It was like Dirty Harry retired. I liked the idea to bring in 'this' culture. You couldn't help but laugh in parts. I found out that Clint's youngest son Scott 'Reeves' Eastwood had a bit part as the white boy walking with Sue. It got pretty much snubbed at the Oscars too. Sort of like the year that Broke Back Mountain took it away and Match Point didn't get recognized which I thought was a Woody Allan movie I had no idea Woody could make. Jonathan Rhys Myer's range was just so amazing in that movie. Of course, I was glad Broke-Back won.

I definitely noticed the smoking and the drinking in Rev.Rd.

Its funny I have a friend who told me she always wanted to be a mother but never a wife. But then..she did have 3 kids with him. Marriage is definitely a team effort, and its always evolving.

One of my favorite moments was noticing a quiet argument between my great grandparents while washing the dishes because she thought he said the f word to her when he actually said fork. Then I noticed the last Christmas my brother was quietly arguing with his girlfriend about how she didn't want him going to a bar to see an old friend...and there we all are together wondering what they are whispering about.

All I can say its a journey and when you look back at the title of Revolutionary Road..perhaps thats exactly what they were telling us.
