i have been a bit slack the last few weeks of december's challenge.
but now i am back on task.
this month, jeremy has asked that we use album covers for the basis of our self-portraits in any way that we'd like. which means we can butcher them however we see fit, as long as we include ourselves on the cover somehow. what fun!
since i had long ago given away all of my albums (stupidly) i knew the first one that i wanted to find was this herb alpbert album. it was my father's very favorite and i remember staring at this provocative woman on the cover and thinking "wow, she sure likes whipped cream."
sharp as a tack i was.
when i went thrifting to hunt it down, it was waiting for me right there.
lucky me.
here's the original album cover.

and this one is my effort.

it's sugar free whipped cream.
i promise.

WHAT! Your Dad too! Dang, girl- I think we are living in parallel universes and somehow, some happy accident, this internet majic hooked us up! that's not supposed to happed but there you are- crossed the line!
My Dad played this over and over driving me into my room with a pillow over my head. I can still hear it- it's like having a seizure.
I like that you have given that poor woman some whippy without sugar- I always worried that she was going to get into a hell of a lot of trouble for wrecking her frock, making a mess, probably sitting on the sofa, going from room to room, "man, is she going to get it!" at least now she won't bounce around from that incredible sugar high- and maybe the fall out of whippy can be contained a bit better. She should be wrapped in celo.
That is hilarious! I can totally support the sugar free whipped cream. Mounds and mounds of it. That is sooo funny about this being in your dad's collection, I remember as a little girl, 3rd gradish, finding this in my dad's collection and thinking, "Wow. Hmmmm." And then looking and looking at it. For some reason years later I thought it was Olivia Newton John's face on the woman, but obviously it's not. I like the substitution of the whipped cream can much better.
Hahahaha...that was good..and you know..these guys just never go out of style..neither does whipped cream. I think we have this LP at home.
That is fantastic!! Sugar free whipped cream...nice.
love the whipped cream touch :)
I had one planned this week...but camera troubles have made it unlikely that I'll squeeze it in before next tuesday. I hope i'm on track for next week....these will be fun :)
