when neon signs were first used, people called them "electric fire"
what a great phrase.
how come we don't use that phrase anymore?
just because phrases and words go out of style i suppose.
people find new and better words to describe things and people.
but we discover the old stuff and it becomes new all over again.
and round and round we go.
some words and phrases never do get rediscovered.
they stay gone forever.
there are some you wish would never return back in style, but do.
so for fear that electric fire might never come back, i am requesting that we all use it again.
maybe a drink could be named the electric fire?
or a dance
or a sandwich
or a personality disorder
or how about a physical condition
or maybe a fashion trend?
how about we bring back electric fire?
what's your vote on it?

Hm...electric fire sounds like a great hair dye. Or a new eye shadow. I like it.
I love old signs, too. These are some great shots!
It's electric..Well, I love that line..just add fire to it..
The Reader was exceptional. It had a good flow inspite of going back and fourth..a bit. While Revolutionary Road seemed quite choppy..sometimes.
It was funny, yesterday after I watched the Reader I met a friend of mine (we were in middle school..but had a falling out..seems I'm with her one true love that I never actually knew of..until much later..and neither did my boyfriend..although, he was always scared of her..thats a story for another time) who's mother is Germman and about my own mother's age. She always spoke to the girls in German and it sounded so intense as if she were angry...when I guess she wasn't. I told her I saw the Reader. She says she wants too..I do wonder how she would feel about it. I did find out that her older daugher, my brother's age (who once and a internet romance with her..I'm finding out my brother must have went out with everyone at our school) is going to have a baby in May (but its not my brother's).
I did like Slumdog Millionare best. It was so different...and of course, I loved the dance number at the end. I do hope Kate wins for this one though. & I hope we see more of that young actor too..he really did have an expressive face.
I am loving electric fire. It's so much better than neon signs. And my vote is for a personality disorder. I laughed out loud when I read that. "Oh, don't mind me. I've got electric fire."
What a great phrase! I vote "electric fire" is a personality disorder, (yes, Heidi!) experienced generally ONLY by males, where after weeks of frustration and lack of attention exacerbated by the inability to express themselves, they erupt in profanities and horrible words directed at, of course, the woman they LOVE. Here's to paying MORE attention to the males in our lives to AVOID "electric fire." ;) Love your blog!!
