today i smile

by god, i'm going to smile if it kills me.
even though it's monday.
and this morning when i woke up, i was greeted by 5 inches of snow outside.
which is not so good for all these beautiful blossoming trees and bushes we have.
but we got that winter weather over with and now i don't think we'll have anymore.
it will be daylight savings time this coming weekend.
and longer daylight hours
is another good reason, to smile.
whatever is in your day today,
i hope you're smiling too.
i really do.

happy monday!

p.s. i'm taking an informal survey....which processing do you like best on these photos? any feedback would be most appreciated!

The weather here is getting much better. It's sunny & there is an open blue sky today. My good laundry day is making a comeback. Anyway, I like the 1st pic.

I AM smiling though it may look like a grimace, difficult to tell...the first one is great for the dining room, the middle one perfect for the hallway and the last one for the kitchen, all bright and cheerful , unlike the unfortunate chicken in the pot. They all have distinctive moods- all are wonderful...I am more the last one today, however, because you are making me smile- the last one is more smiley.

I'm digging the processing on the second or middle image.

Oh..I hope you got to stay home today. I'm sure the road conditions are so hazzardous now. I was talking with my friend at work who just started a new shift with us. She mainly worked nights. Anyway, she was telling me about a slick spot she hit and how the car spun around 3 times..she was just so glad there was no traffic around when that happened.

Snow is still here. The streets are ok. It was a windy 29 today..maybe 38 tomorrow if possible. Ha.

Thanks for the note.

Hummm..I like the way you've processed all the pic, actually, perhaps it all boils down to the mood you want.

by the way..loved your line about By God, I'm gonna smile today..

there's my answer :P

geez...5 inches? wow!

i'm with you...i'm gonna smile if it kills me ;)

as far as the processing....they're all wonderful. i guess it just depends on the mood/feeling you're trying to portray, but for me, the light on the third is awesome.

it may be because awesome bright light has been in short supply this winter, and if it were september, the first pic may be just what the dr. ordered.

honestly, they're all perfect! your photos always are :)

I am so looking forward to daylight savings.

Sometimes I have a hard time deciding how to process photos, because I like different methods for different reasons.

I like them all for different reasons, but I think I gravitate more to the second one.

I like them all, but I think I like the first one best.

I know we're past Monday, but yesterday was a good day and I smiled...a lot.

I am soooo sorry about the winter weather - sounds like it's happening ALL over, not just Seattle! Hope the snow melted quickly, because I love those buds. And I love the first one the most - that rich, drenched in yellow effect is awesome. Though I also love the aged 70's tint in the middle pic. Okay, AND I also really like the last one, too - though with all that white, it DOES feel "colder." But nice. Still beautiful. But I think I love the top one best. If I had to pick .... ;)

They are beautiful together like VanGogh's haystacks are beautiful together. I love the warmth of the first, the color contrast of the second and the delicacy of the third.
