during the month of december, this book is always on my bedside table. if you haven't read david sedaris' "holiday on ice", then please go here and listen to him read "santaland diaries" -one of the funniest essays in this book.

Yay! I just picked this one up and am partway through the first story! I will LOVE listening to him read it - I first heard one of his stories on NPR and seriously laughed my head off. I think the line I recall is "as a general rule, boys who spend their weekends baking muffins do not excel in the art of hand to hand combat" - if not that, it was very nearly that. I loved it. Thanks for the link.
