when i was young,
i thought in terms
of
black
and
white.

and then
life happened
to me.
with its
romantic love,
and career
and being
a mom
and
i
realized that
i had to add
the importance
of grays
as well.

and now these
days,
i only
want
to
think
in
color.

I am quite colorful myself, dawn...in fact, my trademark, for years, has been my eyeshadow, which usually matches what I'm wearing...sometimes four different colors!! I started doing that years ago when I worked in the operating room and all that showed was my eyes. Patients really liked it.

I had to laugh once, after I became a forensic nurse and had done a forensic interview of a molested child. The defense attorney, who was quite intimidating, asked the little six-year-old if he remembered me.
The little boy responded, loudly,
"yes." "How is that, the nurse who
talked to you, saw you almost a
year ago!" "I remember because she had rainbow eyes."

Oh, I loved this. I'm with you...more color. I do love my grays, but I could always use more color.
