You are so right about both the looking up and the need for looking down. The gold that flies across the blue, blue sky to nestle in safe corners, the last green grass, final flowers. Thanks for the reminder.
Also, the trout in our park pond never get much size, but there are wonderful streams nearby full of big fish. My DH fishes the lakes and brings home luscious lunkers.
the sun is shining for the first time in a week. i am neglecting work and reading blogs. now that i have read this i am going to neglect everything and go for a walk. thank you.

I agree - sometimes we get so wrapped up in it all - we forget the beauty right here.
