growing up,
i was always told
to wipe my feet
when coming
into the house....
but i always
felt
that if i didn't
leave a muddy
footprint or two,
my mother would
never even know
i
had
ever
been
there.
........age: it's a matter of time.......reflecting on life in the middle years through imagery and words......

this makes me a little sad.
This shakes me up, makes me sad, brings a little tear in my eye... That's ok, because it makes me think and I love it when images and words go straight to the heart.
